It is a very common phenomenon that led lights become darker and darker as they are used. Summarize the reasons that can darken the LED light, which is nothing more than the following three points.

1.Drive damaged

LED lamp beads are required to work at low DC voltage (below 20V), but our usual mains power is AC high voltage (AC 220V). To turn the mains power into the power required by the lamp beads, we need a device called “LED constant current driving power supply”.

Theoretically, as long as the parameters of the driver match the lamp bead plate, it can be continuously powered and used normally. The interior of the driver is complex. The failure of any device (such as capacitor, rectifier, etc.) may cause the change of output voltage, and then cause the lamp to dim.

Driver damage is the most common fault in LED lamps. It can usually be solved after replacing the driver.

2.Led burned

The LED itself is composed of lamp beads one by one. If one or part of them is not on, it is bound to darken the whole lamp. Lamp beads are usually connected in series and then in parallel – so if a lamp bead is burned, a batch of lamp beads may not light up.

There are obvious black spots on the surface of the burned lamp bead. Find it, connect it to the back with a wire and short circuit it; Or a new lamp bead can solve the problem.

Led occasionally burned one, it may be by chance. If you burn out frequently, you should consider the problem of the drive – another manifestation of drive failure is burning the lamp beads.

3.LED light attenuation

The so-called light decay is that the brightness of the illuminant is getting lower and lower – which is more obvious in incandescent and fluorescent lamps.

LED lamp can not avoid light decay, but its light decay speed is relatively slow, and it is generally difficult to see the change with the naked eye. However, it does not rule out that low-quality led, or low-quality light bead plate, or due to objective factors such as poor heat dissipation, the LED light decay speed becomes faster.
