The development of LED lighting has entered a new stage. The high-quality LED bulb driving power supply for modern lighting has the following requirements:

(1) High efficiency and less heat

Because the power supply is usually built-in, together with the LED bulb beads, the heat generated by the power supply and the LED chip will be superimposed. When the heat generation and dissipation are balanced, the working temperature of the LED bulb will ultimately be determined together, and the working temperature of the LED chip will determine the service life of the LED bulb;

(2) Long service life of power supply

According to the barrel theory, the shortest wood determines how much water the barrel can hold, and the power supply is the shortest wood that determines the service life of the LED bulb, so the power supply is the key factor that determines the quality of the LED bulb.

(3) Small current ripple amplitude

Small current ripple amplitude can not only improve the quality of lighting light, but also extend the life of components, thus extending the service life of LED bulbs.

(4) High current ripple frequency

If the current pulsation frequency is high, the human eye will not detect the stroboscopic light. Of course, a good LED bulb should have no large current pulsation.

(5) High power factor

Improving the power factor in the LED driving power supply can improve the power utilization efficiency of the power grid equipment, reduce the ineffective loss of the power grid, and thus improve the utilization efficiency of the power grid.

(6) Electrical isolation

The LED driving power supply is supplied by the AC municipal power grid with higher voltage, but the LED works at a lower safety voltage, so it needs to be electrically isolated between the two to comply with safety regulations and avoid electric shock accidents.

(7) Protection function

Generally, over-temperature, over-current and open circuit protection shall be provided to meet the safety regulations, and multiple protection shall be provided to avoid electric shock accidents.

(8) Small size

Because the general led bulb power supply is an integrated built-in power supply, it is easy to install only when it is small in size.

(9) Low cost

Only with low cost and low price can there be good market performance. This is the general law of the Chinese market. It is difficult to change in the short term. LED lamp companies must adapt.
